PROJECT 002 / BARBADOS / CREATIVE DESIGN

SAY LESS.
MAKE MORE.

Father Philis × Say No More. A series of expressive Barbados-inspired merchandise concepts brought together with local creative Hector.

01 / THE COLLABORATION

MADE
AT HOME.

Music has always carried more than the sound itself. It carries sayings, inside jokes, places and the moments that become part of a community's language. The work with Barbados-based label Say No More, led by Hector, is a way of translating that expression into apparel and design.

Across several pieces, references to songs and local culture become visual ideas you can wear. Rather than treating every design as a disposable promotional item, this archive documents the stories connecting the pieces.

02 / THE DESIGN ARCHIVE

THREE PIECES.
THREE STORIES.

A collection of ideas drawn from records, local language and places. Presented here as a typographic design archive.

01 / MUSIC CULTURE

FACE BEAT

“Nutritional Facts” merchandise drawing on the world of the Father Philis record.

02 / PLACE & IDENTITY

ST. LAWRENCE GAP

A GAP-inspired concept referencing one of Barbados' best-known entertainment districts.

03 / LOCAL EXPRESSION

BEAR _UNT

A bold typographic concept from the collection, preserved here using the name supplied for the archive.

03 / THE CREATOR

MEET
HECTOR.

Hector is the creative behind local label Say No More. The partnership reflects the same do-it-yourself spirit behind Caribbean music and design: distinctive ideas, local references and a point of view that doesn't need explaining to the people who know.
